Saniya Rizvi

I am an integrative practitioner in the NHS with several years of experience working in variety of specialist settings. This includes working with a wide range of difficulties, as well as severity levels from mild and moderate to severe and enduring mental health. Although my theoretical thinking is mostly driven by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I place more importance on the impact of life experiences and situations on an individual in the “here and now”. I believe in helping people to achieve a better quality of life rather than be held a prisoner to any specific diagnosis.

My specialist interest is in Trauma work, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I have worked to deliver a service for veterans with PTSD within the large Mental Health NHS Trust that I am employed in. I have worked in specialist physical health services, and this is an additional interest of mine.  I offer CBT and ACT models of therapy in line with the evidence base for these presentations.

I am offering both face to face and online sessions.
